INTERMEDIATE PHASE TEACHER

WCED CONTRACT POST


Commencement date:    1 January 2025 - 31 March 2025


Afrikaans and History


Are you a qualified and dynamic educator with a flair for effective communication? We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team!

Applicants must have a relevant Intermediate Phase teaching qualification (for example, Bachelor in Education, PGCE or HDE) and be registered with SACE.


This position is ideally suited to a teacher who:

  • Possesses a qualification in Intermediate Phase.

  • Has proof of a police clearance certificate (cleared against the Criminal Clearance Register, cleared against the Child Protection Register, cleared against the Sexual Register).

  • Is SACE registered.

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English would be advantageous.

  • Can demonstrate sound pedagogy and teaching all subjects across the phase; particularly in Afrikaans and History

  • Personal attributes should include strong analytical skills, flexibility, high EQ and an ability to see both bigger context and individual details.

  • Demonstrate competency in the use of technology for both administrative and teaching purposes.

All applicants must be willing to contribute to the comprehensive co-curricular programme of our school and must engage in staff development training.
